Horrible Agent: Holly Tsuei Chappaqua, NY

by LT on March 4, 2012

We once had Holly Tsuei as a buying agent, and strongly suggest that any one looking for a buying agent avoid her. Based on our experience, she tried her very best to talk you into buying a house that is priced way too high (if the settlement price is high, she can get more commision and she gets the double benefit of being nice to her colleague who is the selling agent). What’s more, 90% of what she said are lie. For example, she often said that the seller had spent 200,000-300,000 on house improvement and the seller is now selling at a huge loss. She said the floor was made of real wood when it was just some cheap material. From what I heard from a friend, one of her clients bought a house at a price that was higher than the market peak price even when the housing market then had plunged. Even though the seller did not lose, her clients paid too much for the house. Part of her tactic is to threaten that there are other buyers interested in the same house or there are several other offers waiting.

So if you hate agents who cheat and who make profits at the cost of house buyers, avoid her. If you are afraid of buying a very expensive house and end up in foreclosure, avoid her and make her ashamed of what she had done. She may keep talking to you and saying that she never lie or cheat or she always tell her clients what is wrong with the house. But if she is really so good, she does not need to advertise the fact, right?

I was very surprised to read this vindictive post from someone who apparently did not buy from Houlihan Lawrence, which has a well earned reputation in the Westchester area for many years. I personally have completed over 3,000 mortgage transactions, over 1,000 purchases in my career, and I have financed purchase transactions for many of Holly Tsuei’s clients and have successfully conducted subsequent refinances for those same clients years later in a challenging real estate market.

I can sincerely say that the mutual clients I’ve had and the Westchester attorneys I deal with all hold Holly in high regard. It’s naive and foolish to think that any agent can manipulate the price of real estate, and I don’t think anyone who read the post from LT would take it seriously- but this does deserve a response to the contrary.

In response to and in defense of Holly Tsuei, an experienced broker at Houlihan Lawrence, the post concerning her reputation submitted by LT is not credible. I have dealt with Holly Tsuei on a professional level and have found her to be an excellent broker. She excels at her work, and goes to great lengths to advise, assist and protect her clients interests. LT is clearly a disgruntled customer but should not vent his hostilities on an exemplary and honorable broker and person. I would recommend Holly Tsuei to anyone in need of a diligent, honest, reliable and hard working broker. MR

This website is a scam and if you note that these “complaints” have poor grammar. Don’t take any of these personally. These people are extorting the agents for money to take down the comments.
Nice try!
