Windermere Real Estate is the most predatory realty company in America

Real estate consumers in the Western United States are advised that Windermere Real Estate, based in Seattle, Washington, is an outfit to stay away from. The complaints against Windermere involving nightmare scenarios of endless stalling mendacious litigation, financial ruin, total home loss, and eventual homelessness for some parties, keep growing and growing.

When a Windermere customer has a problem and states that problem publicly on the web or in other media, Windermere falsely sues the victim for libel and defamation, tries to coerce and intimidate them into silence by signing a “dark clause” agreement. Despicable! Check these sites out:

I just googled you, Gary. Are you sure you didn’t ingest some rat poison along the way? Sounds like the judge threw out your case – for good reason. Sorry, I don’t find you to be a credible source.

wow Gary really? Your accusations seem a bit out there in space my friend. I just finished a deal with a great Windermere agent and my experience was nothing like you mentioned. In fact I did some searching on the web about you and it would appear that Barb Drake hit the mark about the rat poison. Get a life!

I want to say that some of these previous listings are clearly from Windermere people, who have a giant PR problem on their hands. One of my family member’s live’s has been absolutely and utterly destroyed by Windermere Real Estate, and I implore all visitors to this page to check out some of the many anti-Windermere websites available to the public. This company is headed straight down.

I think the point needs to be made that many of these recent entries are from Windermere agents, brokers, or lawyers, who have a very serious PT problem on their hands. The country is becoming well informed about Windermere, and their practice of trying to coerce silence from damaged customers by trying to force them into signing an agreement that terminates their speech rights.

Windermere Real Estate is definitely the most predatory of RE companies out there. A family member of mine has absolutely had their entire life ruined by Windermere, and I want the public to realize that windermerewatch.com is not the only site out there informing consumers about this awful company. I believe Windermere agents are instructed by “company policy” to NOT provide a copy of signed documents to buyers and sellers until closing – which could take months. This is a violation of the National Association of Realtors ethics, to which Windermere belongs. They do not supply a copy of signed documents in order to keep the sellers and buyers in the dark throughout the transaction until closing. Buyer representation contracts are slipped into the purchase documents, forcing that buyer to pay that Windermere agent , even if that buyer decides that Windermere agent is incompetent and goes to someone else to buy a property.
A Windermere agent tell me “oh we don’t give our sellers a copy of the purchase and sale agreement until closing”….
SELLER AND BUYERS BEWARE: how do you know what the closing date is, what the terms are, who the buyers or sellers are, what the conditions are, or even what you have done, if you are not provided a copy of what you sign immediately?
Real Estate agents are supposed to be like your doctor, you are supposed to be able to TRUST them. But then again, the way our country is heading nowadays, it’s no surprise that an evil real estate company can infiltrate government and is able to twist and turn the law to the advantage of the real estate company and disadvantage of Mr. and Mrs. Homeowner.
